Get involved at SKCP!
SKCP volunteers have cleaned the neighborhood, organized flea markets, raised money for local parks & gardens, and more. Everyone from neighborhood old-timers to the newest among us choose to pitch in.
What volunteering opportunities do we provide?
Every season brings new volunteering opportunities at SKCP! Just a few of the things our important volunteers help us with are:
Helping us get the word out by delivering information to homes in the neighborhood (monthly; about 4 hours per month.)
Cleanup and beautification projects. If you'd like to lead a cleanup on your block, we can give you the tools to do it. From time to time, we also do things like painting projects, so you can put yourself down on the "interested" list for when those things come up.
Making food for an event. Sign up to bring refreshments to one of our community events -- snacks always help us get folks out!
Professional services. If you have accounting, graphic design, or grant writing skills, we would love to talk about monthly ways of supporting us.
Community gardens. Once the spring/summer comes around, there are biweekly garden work days that they always need a fresh pair of hands at.
Joining our Neighborhood Advisory Committee
...and so much more!
